Dear everyone,
I know that in Sahaja Yoga, we are blessed with a life of joy and amazing memories but truly for me, Indonesia Tour 2016 was one of the best experiences of my life.
We started the tour straight after Shri Rama Puja in Singapore. Most yogis on the tour, also attended the puja which was a great way to prepare ourselves.
I was lucky enough to travel with the yogis straight from Singapore to Surabaya (East Java).
There was an atmosphere of expectations and excitement. You could feel something great was going to happen.
We began with a candle havan in Ayu and Bagus house in Surabaya. Their family welcomed us beautifully. During the havan we prayed for all the obstacles to be removed. During our havan we could hear the calls to prayer of the nearby countless mosques. Truly a magical atmosphere.
There were around 37 Sahaja Yogis, from Indonesia, France, Romania, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Australia and Canada.
The first public program was on our first day in Surabaya program. It was a great success, people listened very carefully and seemed to imbibe the information. I am not sure how many attendees perhaps around 50. It was very joyous indeed. The public really seemed to really enjoy the bhajans whole heartily performed by Vishwamber, Sahaj, Sameer, Katherine, Yang Lily and indeed all of us. When we sang “Mataji Qawali (Allah Hu)”, people couldn’t sit in the chairs any longer and few from public started to dance in joy.
Since that night a great joy and enthusiasm descend upon me and never left me for the whole trip and even know, writing about it the joy comes back strongly.
How can you describe in words where your soul is experiencing heaven on earth? I remember sitting on the train from Surabaya to Yogyakarta, singing bhajans and outside the windscreen the tropical farming fields land of Java. I could feel the vibrations being poured out from our wagon and spreading to the whole train and the nature around.
We, the yogis, were able to become one, in sincere love and affection.
There was like an innate oneness, a powerful state of harmony and dedication. No hierarchy no power games just a sincere desire to be with each other and spread joy. The joy of Sahaja state. Shri Mataji’s gift of Self Realization. We really became one.
I imagined that was the sensation angels might experience when they carried out God’s work! Oneness, dynamism and joy!
After the visit to Yogyakarta we continued our tour to Island of Gods, the tropical paradise of Bali. On this special island we held two public programs and we were able to perform a spontaneous puja to Shri Hanumana, in occasion of His birthday! No wonder we were blessed with incredible dynamism and deep joy.
For me the highlight of the visit to Bali was what happened during visit to temple of Tanah Lot, dedicated to Samudra Devata.
We somehow managed to approach the group of of Hindu priests looking after the temple. Perhaps around ten of them. As we started to talk to them the younger one simply asked us
“Are you Hindus? Yoga teachers?
How can I be connected with God?
I do not feel connected with God, anymore”.
He asked that with real sincerity and pure desire. I was so moved by this. The poor guy was quite caught up (indeed all the priests were).
What an image was created there, the Sahaja Yogis sat at the feet of temple, the priests with their eyes closed listened carefully as the yogis started to recite the Ganesha Atharva Sheersa aloud, the ocean on all sides of the temple.
We instructed them to ask their Kundalinis to raise and most of them were able to feel the energy in their Sahasrara. I felt the all nature was joyous.
I hope one day all yogis can go to the temple of worship Shri Mataji there.
I could go on and on describing all the amazing things that made this Tour unforgettable, the great and smooth organisation, the temples we visited in Yogyakarta, the delicious food and great music we enjoyed, the friendships and blessings that were created but really my words would not be able to grasp even a small part of those sublime feelings.
My advice to all the yogis reading this brief memory is to join the next Indonesian tour! It is something you will never forget.
Jay Shri Adi Shakti Mataji Shri Indonesia Swamini Ki! Jay!!
